Data Privacy & Security Commitment

HalaVoice is committed to protecting your privacy. We prioritize data minimization, TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, and user sovereignty over all personal information.

1. Information We Collect

When you use our application, we may collect the following categories of information to provide real-time voice, messaging, and community features:

Account Information: Profile nickname, avatar picture, and optional user bio provided during registration or third-party OAuth sign-in (Google / Apple).
Audio & Microphone Data: Real-time voice data processed strictly transiently via WebRTC/TRTC for live voice room communication. Voice streams are transmitted live to room participants and are NOT stored or recorded on our servers.
In-App Interactions: Public chat messages, virtual gift transactions, and room interactions within active sessions.
Device & Diagnostics: Generic device model, operating system version, and crash diagnostic logs solely for performance troubleshooting and bug resolution.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

We process collected data exclusively for the following operational purposes:

Enabling low-latency real-time voice room participation and multi-guest audio broadcasting.
Facilitating in-app community moderation, spam prevention, and abuse reporting.
Managing virtual gift transactions and user level/charm prestige rankings.
Ensuring strict network security and preventing unauthorized access.

3. Android Permissions & Usage

To deliver core features, the app requests minimal system permissions:

android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO: Required solely when you actively speak on stage in a voice room. You maintain full control to mute or revoke microphone access at any time.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE: Enables uninterrupted voice audio playback when multitasking or locking your screen during an active voice session.
android.permission.INTERNET: Required for establishing secure connections to voice and messaging gateways.

4. Data Storage & Security Standards

All data transmitted between your device and our backend servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocols. We enforce android:usesCleartextTraffic="false" to ensure that no unencrypted network calls are permitted.

5. Third-Party Services & SDKs

To provide high-quality services, we integrate vetted enterprise third-party service providers who comply with stringent privacy standards:

Tencent Cloud (TRTC & IM): High-definition audio streaming and real-time chat infrastructure.
Google Play Services: Account authentication and application distribution.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our service is directed strictly to individuals aged 13 years and older (and 16/18+ depending on jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we immediately delete such records.

7. Data Retention & Account Deletion Rights

You have full sovereignty over your data. You may request account deletion at any time directly through the in-app settings (Settings > Account Security > Delete Account) or by contacting our support team. Upon confirmation, your profile, chat records, and virtual assets are permanently expunged within 30 days.
